Hagg Farm is situated in it's own grounds, surrounded by forest and moorland.  Many activities can take place without leaving the site, from problem solving immediately around the building, orienteering in the grounds and the Spiders Web and night-line in the woods.

Spider's Web

The object of the exercise is to pass everyone through the holes in the spiders web, using each hole only once and without touching the rope web to avoid waking the spider up!  A great team building exercise.

Orienteering

This takes place in the woodland around the centre and on the hill side above Hagg Farm.  Orienteering is an active sport involving navigation, speed and cunning!

Shelter Building

Shelter building is carried out in the wooded areas immediately around Hagg Farm.  The shelters are made out of solid natural debris only so as to maintain the environment.

Mission Impossible

This is a new activity at Hagg Farm this year.  The mission is handed over to the group and requires each member to lower themselves from a wire to collect clues; once all the clues are together the mission can be completed!

Search and Rescue

Suggestions for Search and Rescue include; a sweep search, use of our radios, stretcher and a rescue simulation.  All need co-operation and communication skills!

Nightline

The location of the nightline is in the woodland around Hagg Farm.  Groups are blindfolded and 'helped' to find their way around an area keeping their hands on a rope.  Various obstacles are met along the route, but good communication helps the team overcome them!
