These new resources are simple posters to used in your classroom to support your children's reading. They show a range of strategies that the children can access as a prompt, they could be used in a smaller format to be used at the table.

A set of browsing box activity cards for use as a follow up to Guided reading sessions. These materials were delivered on the Year 3 training in January 2004.

This booklet was originally sent out to schools in the Summer term of 2003 and has proved very popular with those teachers who made a copy from the school original. However, it is possible that you have not seen the materials which help teach comprehension. They contain reading frames and other text based activities to make reading purposeful and focused. They will help teachers to make the strategies explicit to children with the aim for them to use them independently. Much of this material is suitable for children across the primary age-range.
