E-mail has huge potential to enhance the primary curriculum and improve both inter-school and intra-school communication. Until now that potential has not been realised for largely technical reasons. We now have the opportunity to provide all our Key Stage Two children with an individual, secure e-mail address which they can access through improved Internet connections.
It is likely to become increasingly important in the future for children to become literate in respect of new media, such as e-mail and multimedia, and the genre associated with them.

Log on to the EMBC Portal and go to the e-mail page for your
user. Add another user to your address book and e-mail them with a greeting. Reply to any greetings you may receive. Follow the convention of replying above the quoted original message. Consider the activities and their order from unit 3E. Might these need modification? |
